Umbria, the very heart of Italy, is little known to many visitors. Our trip begins with transfers from Rome directly to our villa in the hills of central Umbria. From the villa, which offers a stunning pool and gorgeous rooms, all with private bath, we share several easy day trips to cities, towns and wineries across the region. From the spiritual village of Assisi to an island fortress on the shores a gorgeous lake, the little known corners of Umbria are balanced with incredible meals, fabulous wines and quiet, tranquil, nights. Le Marche is a hidden, relatively little known, province of Italy. From truffles to artisan made pastas, the local producers offer bounty beyond expectation. Our days in Le Marche, one of the most lyrically beautiful areas of Italy, offers a balance of all that makes Italy so famous; food, wine and history.

Day One: Arrival at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport. Meet and Greet by Private Italy Tours Ltd staff. Transfer directly to Umbria villa. (L,D)
Day Two: Gubbio with private guide. Dinner in agriturismo prior to returning to villa. (B,D)
Day Three: Spello and Assisi with private guide (B,D)
Day Four: Orvieto with private guide(B,D)
Day Five: Lake Trasimeno and Castiglione del Lago. (B,D)
Day Six: Foligno and Spoleto (B,D)
Day Seven: Morning free at villa. Transfer to villa in central Le Marche. (B,L,D)
Day Eight: Cooking lesson at our villa. (B,L,D) Afternoon visit to local wine producer-tasting and dinner following.
Day Nine: Truffle day with clients and local expert. (B,D)
Day Ten: Artisan workshop visit for the day (B,L,D)
Day Eleven: A morning balloon ride (Weather permitting and based on client interest) above Le Marche (B,L,D)
