Sicily and the Amalfi Coast Itinerary. . .

Day One: Clients are met at the airport in Catania and are driven to
our villa along the eastern shore of the island. After arriving, clients
are free to unpack, relax and rest before dinner.

Day Two: This is an easy day along the slopes of Mount Etna. After
enjoying an incredible Porcini mushroom-laced lunch at a small
Trattoria, we head to the highest parking area on Mt. Etna. Clients
are free for one hour to explore this high point. Views out over the
island, on a clear day, are extraordinary. We return to the villa for
dinner.

Day Three: Taormina. Clients enjoy a private guided tour of the
town center and the Greek/Roman Amphitheater before exploring
the town on their own. This is a place known for wonderful
restaurants and shopping. We return to the villa for dinner.

Day Four: Villa del Casale: We visit an ancient roman villa near the
city of Piazza Armerina. With over 120,000 square feet of mosaics,
this is an extraordinary and unforgettable site. We continue on to
Agrigento, to a hotel located within the Valley of the Temples. After
settling in our rooms, clients are free to enjoy dinner at the hotel’s
famous restaurant, located on a terrace overlooking the Temple of
Concordia.

Day Five: After a leisurely breakfast, we drive along the southern
coast of the island, and visit the Sicilian Baroque city of Modica
where an incredible lunch is served in a gorgeous city-center
restaurant. After a brief tour of the area, we return to the villa for
the remainder of the day. Dinner is served at the villa this evening.

Day Six: The Greek amphitheater in the city of Siracusa is one of
the most famous sites in all of Sicily. A private guide takes clients
through the ancient area of the city. We enjoy a wonderful lunch
along the harbor on the island of Ortigia where the Greeks first
settled in this area of Sicily. We return to the villa for dinner.

Day Seven: We visit a private family winery and cantina in the city of
Milazzo, on Sicily’s northern shore. After enjoying a tour and tasting
at the winery, lunch is served at a local Trattoria. We return to the
villa for our final dinner on Sicily.

Day Eight: Clients fly from Catania to Naples and, after arrival,
are taken to the National Archeological Museum where a private
guide introduces the group to the art and history of the region
near Mount Vesuvius; Pompeii, Herculaneum, Villa Poppea. The
museum houses one of the most extraordinary collections of
Greek and Roman art in the world. After a two hour visit, clients
share a meal at a restaurant offering spectacular views out over the
Amalfi Coast. We arrive at our villa in plenty of time for rest and
relaxation before dinner.

Day Nine: We visit a small fishing village near the villa where clients
will feast on one of the most extraordinary meals of the trip. After
lunch we return to the villa.

Day Ten: A private guide is with the group for the day. We visit
Pompeii and Villa Poppea in Torre Annunziata with our guide. We
return to the villa for dinner.

Day Eleven: We drive along the Amalfi coast today, stopping in
Amalfi for a few hours of exploration before driving up the steep
road to Ravello for lunch. The view from the restaurant is one of
the most famous in Italy. At the conclusion of lunch, clients explore
the village and the Villas of Rufolo and Cimbrone before returning
to the villa for dinner.

Day Twelve: The Doric temples at Paestum are the most perfectly
preserved in the world. After our private guided visit and lunch,
we head to a local organic mozzarella Buffa producer where some
of the best cheese in Italy is produced. We return to the villa for
dinner.

Day Thirteen: Clients enjoy a 3 ½ hour private boat tour along the
Amalfi Coast. At the conclusion of the tour, lunch is served at a
seaside restaurant. Dinner is served at the villa.

Day Fourteen: Clients visit a winery located in the hills south of
Naples. At the conclusion of the tour, tasting and lunch, we return
to the villa for our final dinner.

Day Fifteen: Clients are taken to the Naples airport, or Naples
Centrale train station, for their return trips to the United States or
for their onward travel.
