Patricia Gambarelli is an accomplished culinary writer and teacher. She and her husband, Rudy, have traveled extensively across Italy, many times with Private Italy Tours Ltd. Her first Italian Cookbook, Pasta for Men Only, was released a few years ago. Her next book will be released in late 2012.
Though she started out in the field of chemistry, Pat switched career paths to satisfy a desire to teach as well as to indulge her passion for her Italian heritage. She taught cooking for eleven years (including the Pasta for Men Only classes that inspired the title of her first book), and has served as Food and Wine Editor for North Carolina and New York newspapers. Pat served on the Board of Directors for the New York Association of Cooking Teachers, has studied under master chefs, including Giuliano Bugialli and Marcella Hazan, and was the Culinary Director for the Long Island Wine and Food Society.
